The Deal

“Never forget the power of silence, that massively disconcerting pause which goes on and on and may last induce an opponent to babble and backtrack nervously.” – Lance Morrow

When I’m fixed on something, it can be hard to pry me away. Like a pit bull playing tug of war, it’s that same one pointed tenacity that has allowed me to be moderately successful in this little life, but can often cause tension as well.

You see, right now, I’m on the hunt for a new Airstream, which is just the soup du jour. If there wasn’t a “need”, I would manufacture one. I know this. It’s how I’m wired. It’s me. For as long as I can remember.

Always on the go. Always planning the next move to make the next thing happen. Buying something, selling something, trading something. To be honest, it’s where I find the juice in life. Most importantly, it’s rarely about the object.

It’s about the deal.

It’s about the logistics behind making said deal happen. Be it an Airstream, or a house, or an investment property or a vehicle… the item at hand is inconsequential.

The deal. That’s what matters. That’s the juice.

Often the best deals are found far from home and require travel… coincidence?

The adventures that come along with the deals…well… those are just side benefits, I suppose. (insert creepy winking emoji here).

See you on the journey….

PS – The streak is over. I think I made it to 130 days in a row or so of writing every day? It’s been a nice break for a couple days. Nothing epic kept me from writing. Just life. But it’s good to see you again!
