GRAB YOUR WEAPON
So what does that mean for you? It means it’s hard, but not impossible, to shut down or at least quiet the negative voice. Without exception all successful people I’ve spoken with in the creation of this book… have created a system… consciously or unconsciously… that assassinates the inner critic. This has been my own experience as well.
There are many methods to shut down this critic. The important bit to know here however, is they are different for everyone. What works for me may not work for you or Michael Jordan or your neighbor.
But now you’re aware that this voice is not you!!!!!
Yes… I’m yelling. And for good reason! This is your life… we only get one… and I don’t want you to die with your music still in you.
You’ve been listening to this voice for so long that at some point you forgot that it wasn’t really you… and that’s a huge first step… being here, right now, reading this very page… is a huge first step.
So be kind to yourself and give yourself a little pat on the back. I’ll wait.
……and were back!
SO WHAT DO WE DO?
Firstly, it’s important to recognize that you aren’t “weak” because you have this chatter or because you feel fear around the things your inner voice brings up – welcome to the human race.
After 1000’s of hours of conversations and twenty years of study, trial and error… below are the top 5 strategies that help assassinate the critic.
If you want to go to the next level in your life, your business, your relationship – you must master this practice.
There is no other way.
Remember… this process is different for everyone… so go out into the wild and develop your own list…or for faster results have someone help guide you along the way.
These are what have worked for me and what I’ve seen show up again and again in conversations with coaching clients and those I’ve mentored over the last 20 years.
Tomorrow we will dive into the 5 strategies… please subscribe for updates.
See you on the journey…
