“Happiness is nothing more than good health and a bad memory.” – Albert Schweitzer
You may, or may not, know that I show up here every day with nothing prepared. No pre-written blurbs or anecdotes. No just-in-case post pre-saved. Every day, the blank cursor staring at me.
Sometimes, I write in the wee early hours of the morning. Sometimes, in the evening after a long day, after several meetings, after a Skillpop class, after late dinner… and while fighting off a wicked cold that, no doubt, came from the New York City transit system…. but I digress.
The magic is in the doing. The shipping.
Honestly, I don’t want to be writing right now. And this won’t be a long post. But the fear of missing a day outweighs the temporary agony of just wanting my bed and some NyQuil. Because, I know that if I show up, every day, and write…. I will get better. There is no way around it.
Showing up for the SkillPop class. Sitting here with you. Even when under the weather…makes me better.
So I will continue to show up for this, in sickness and in health.
What do you show up for? What is unmissable for you? What do you do, every day, simply because you know you will be better? Not better than anyone else, but better than you used to be. Comment below or message me.
See you on the journey…
